Thomas W. Singura, 44, of South Amboy passed away suddenly March 11, 2018.
Born in Perth Amboy, Tommy was a life long resident of South Amboy. He was a 1992 graduate of Hoffman High School. He was affectionately known to many by the name Mongo.
Tommy was passionate about culinary arts. He loved to cook. He was especially fond of preparing food for family parties. At these gatherings, Tommy would always be found at the stove or grill, pursuing his passion. He was employed at Shop Rite in Parlin where he worked in the food services and catering department. Tommy also was the chef at Buddy's Tavern, Parlin.
In his spare time, Tommy enjoyed fishing and attending concerts with friends. He had a wild infectious laugh that always brought a smile to those in his company. Tommy was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR. He was fond of his Polish heritage and was very proud to have come from a loving, strong Polish family.
A loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, Tommy will missed by all who knew him.
Tommy is survived by his parents, Walter and Margaret Singura, his sister, Christine McGrath, nephew, Caden, niece Ella. He is also survived by his Uncle John and Aunt Christine Sidorko, Uncle Bob and Aunt Terry Bliss, cousins, Cathy Siravo and Michelle Roman and well as many extended uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Whiteley Funeral Home, 241 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy, N.J. A service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A eulogy at will begin 1:00 PM. Cremation will be private. Burial of Tommy's ashes will be held at a later date.
